Raj Thackeray threatens death

BJP and its patrons are all fascist organizations that are opposed to pluralism and inclusion. They are Hindutvadis who want to make India a country for and by the Hindus only. They don't tolerate opposition to their hateful views.

Shiv Sena (literally meaning: Soldiers or Army of Shiv, the Hindu god) is a fascist outfit, mostly made up of young Hindutvadis from the Indian state of Maharashtra. It has pan-Indian vision and as such, in the last half a century been able to gravitate many non-Marathis to its fascist Hindutvadi cause. And so is the case with MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, which literally means: Maharashtra Reformation Army). The latter is an extremist right-wing Marathi ethnocentric, fascist regional political party. It has similar Hindutvadi vision like the Shiv Sena from where it split up nearly a decade ago.

MNS's leader is Raj Thackeray, who is nephew of Bal Thackeray, the founding leader of Shiv Sena. It should be noted that Shiv Sena has been blamed for the 1970 communal violence in Bhiwandi, 1984 Bhiwandi riot and violence in the 1992-1993 Bombay riots that killed thousands of Muslims.

In July 2008, Raj issued a public warning that Mumbai shops needed to have Marathi signboards in addition to the existing English signboards. He warned that after one month, MNS workers would start blackening non-Marathi signboards. His fascist party was instrumental in passing a law to this effect. In September 2008, MNS fascist workers resorted to blackening signboards, to enforce the demand, after which most shop owners complied.

MNS wants to build the controversial Ram Temple over the demolished ruins of the Babri mosque in Ayodhaya. It wants everyone to chant proudly the Hindutvadi mantra which all non-Hindus find very problematic. Referring to the ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ slogan row, Raj recently threatened a Muslim leader Owaisi, “Come to Maharashtra, I will put a knife to your throat.” Asaduddin Owaisi has remarked that he would not chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ even if a knife is put to his throat.

Only a fascist can dare to threaten another political opponent with the language of violence! That sums up where secular India is now heading to. This trend is very disconcerting!
